Staff parking and staging area

In May 2023, we delivered a new 553 bay staff car park on the airport precinct including a staging area for taxi and rideshare vehicles.

The staging area allows commercial operators, such as rideshare and taxi, to manage their flow of operations to meet customer demand travelling to and from the airport.

Hobart Airport has approximately 900 staff working across its precinct at any one time; some work directly for our airport or are employed by one of the many organisations who operate on the airport precinct. The staff car park allows secure and direct access to the terminal and precinct.

Works were completed by local Tasmanian construction company, Moore Civil.

At the same time, the previous staff car park and staging area was renovated to create more  parking spaces close to the terminal for public access.
